Summer Internship Program (SIP) 2025

DIY biomedical device, syringe-based nebulizer designed entirely from scratch by Dr. Deopujari and Dr. Rashmi Uddanwadikar. The aim was to create a low-cost alternative to conventional nebulizers useful in resource-limited settings.

Team first started with understanding the principles of nebulization (venturi’s principle) then to build a syringe-based nebulizer and at last to measure the particle size

This project helped students enhance practical knowledge of nebulization while also improving teamwork and problem-solving skills. It was a great experience that increased students’ interest in affordable healthcare and new innovations.
